COVID-19 policy

As we look forward to seeing everyone in-person, we’re prioritizing the health and safety of everyone who attends. Keep an eye on this page to stay up to date on our COVID-19 guidelines and policies for Startupfest.

Your health and safety are our first priority.

Startupfest is an in-person, primarily outdoor event. While we won’t be implementing stringent testing and vaccination verification requirements at the conference, we do take public health seriously and want to ensure that attendees who come to the event to drive their business forward aren’t sidelined by COVID as a result.

With that in mind, we’re requesting that everyone take a rapid antigen test the day before you first attend the event, or a PCR test within 72 hours before attending. We also strongly encourage everyone to get fully vaccinated and boosted before joining us onsite. We will not require any proof of vaccination. We’re relying on your sense of community and honesty to keep your friends, and fellow members of the startup ecosystem, safe.

While it’s not in the news as much, there is a lot of COVID going around, including breakthrough infections and new variants. It would really suck to discover that you’re sick on the second day of the conference, have to miss the rest of the event, and also have to tell all the people you spent time with that they might have been exposed—putting a huge damper on their participation, too.

Don’t be that person.

Rapid tests are available at pharmacies or drive-through testing sites, as well as through schools, so this request should not put an additional financial burden on any attendee.

For added protection, you can also choose to wear a mask in indoor areas, bathrooms, and other spaces at the venue. We support you in taking extra precautions for your health and well-being. Respect others’ health choices. If someone asks you to wear a mask, avoid a handshake, or keep your distance, please do so. Let’s make this fresh start an amazing, healthy, in-person event for everyone.
